Yoga Session

A private yoga session is a perfect way to build confidence in your practice at any stage of your yoga journey and is great for:

Beginner yogis – to help you work on the strength and skills to participate comfortably in a group class

Sore/injured bodies – to help you learn the best ways to modify your yoga practice for comfort and healing

Experienced yogis – to support you in refining your practice and learning advancements and modifications for your unique body

Your yoga session is tailor-made to complement your body and lifestyle - and considers all aspects of you. Whether you’re looking to build a home practice, looking for extra tips for the more complex poses we sometimes teach in group classes, or want to develop a special practice where you choose your own adventure – we’ve got you covered! 

A private yoga class can be specially tailored to:

  • Reduce stress through meditation and relaxation techniques

  • Build strength in the parts of your body that feel weak or are recovering from injury

  • Help you find ways to modify poses to suit your unique body

  • Find fluidity in the deep connective tissues and joints that become tight through repetitive movements

  • Incorporate props and touch to help you relax, release, or go deep


Energetic Session

Have you been to a moon circle or restore class and heard Robyn weave the collective energy of the time then choose just the right guidance and energetic tools to soothe your soul? Or are you looking for this deeper level of inner work?

Energetic sessions will help you to:

  • Release old physical and emotional traumas through somatic release exercises

  • Work with mental and emotional blocks

  • Find direction on what is happening in your life now and take practical steps to move them with ease

  • Take deep rest and reconnect with parts of you that may feel lost

  • Delve into gentle sound healing, meditation and trigger points that support recovery on a soul level


Beginners Walkthrough

The beginner’s walkthrough session starts with reviewing your physical mobility, strength and flexibility to establish a baseline. After this, we will walk through the intent, key moves and how to use props in each style taught at Humane.

Questions about each style can be asked along the way to see which ones may suit you and which ones you may need to build up to.

The session closes out with a walk through the studio schedule.

We would also take note if any future privates may be needed to support you in building your practice.

This session is suitable for those:

  • Beginning a yoga practice

  • Refreshing a yoga practice after a break

  • Who are unable to attend one of our foundational series run periodically throughout the year.


Your Teacher - Robyn Saurine

Robyn is the founder of Humane Yoga and has been exploring the practices and philosophies of yoga for over 20 years. As an ex-corporate career girl, she has first-hand experience in making big shifts in the body and mind and moving towards optimal health and well-being. 

Robyn has trained in various styles, including dynamic Ashtanga, HIIT Yoga, chilled-out Yin, Restorative practices and Pre and Postnatal practices. She’s also an NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) practitioner, business coach, certified sound bowl teacher and astrologist – all skills she infuses into her teachings.

A private class with Robyn may include astrological guidance, sound healing, strength training, myofascial release, and somatic exploration – depending on what you’re looking for and which session you’ve booked!


The Finer Details

Venue: Our private classes are held at our bright and comfortable studio in Alstonville, NSW (Opposite the Post Office in Alstonville Plaza). We also offer online sessions.  

What to Expect: Upon arrival at the studio, Robyn and you will consult on your goals or outcomes.

If you’ve booked a private yoga session Robyn will thoroughly review your physical mobility, strength and flexibility, lifestyle and stress levels to establish a baseline.

If you’ve booked an energetic session Robyn will review your energy and astrology chart and then provide any of the following - sound bath and guided meditation, aura cleanse, somatic relief, affirmations or restorative + yin pose.

Next, a short take-home program is developed for you to practice which, may include mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, a practical action plan, and physical practice components.

What to Bring: Your water bottle, any existing yoga props you use for home practice (not essential, we’ll provide props at the studio), your phone to record your take-home program on and comfortable clothes you can move and stretch in.

Costs: Your initial consultation costs $160 for 90 minutes and includes a thorough assessment lifestyle, and what you want to achieve. Ongoing sessions are $110 for 60 minutes or $55 for 30 minutes. A Beginners Walkthrough session is $60. Follow-up timing is discussed with you at the end of your initial session.
